Where is veteran actor Romnick Sarmenta and what he is up to now?

Before Daniel Padilla, Enrique Gil, and James Reid came into being, many Filipinas would surely agree that they have considered Romnick Sarmenta as their ultimate childhood crush. With his good-looking face and mesmerizing eyes, who would not get attracted to this man.

Romnick had his stint in the showbiz industry as early as four years old. He became a household name to many after he played the role as “Peping” in the iconic primetime series “Gulong ng Palad” in 1977. During the early ‘80s until the late ‘90s, he was considered as one of the most prominent and sought-after actors in the Philippine television and cinema.

Romnick or Romeo Nicolas Sarmenta Tejedor in real life joined the now-defunct variety show “That’s Entertainment” in 1986. He was then paired up with veteran actresses Sheryl Cruz and Jennifer Sevilla.

However, the 90’s heartthrob chose to marry Harlene Bautista, another co-star in the show whom he considers as his “first love”. They tied the knot in 2000 and they now have five children.

Presently, the couple is busy managing their own restaurant named “Salu”. They shared that before they decided to open up their own food business they first traveled to the different places in the country to check out for some native dishes that they will be serving in their restaurant.

In a previous interview with ABS-CBN, Romnick’s wife was quoted as to saying,

Hindi po kami eksperto, pero ang masasabi ko we have the best team pagdating sa kitchen. Every day, may bago kaming dini-develop na pagkain.
