It feels like it was only yesterday when Valerie Concepcion, then only 16 years old, announced her pregnancy that would later shock the local showbiz industry.
14 years later, the Kapuso actress has nothing but gratitude in her heart that she was able to bounce back in showbiz. Add to that, she has someone to keep her company until the end of time — her unica hija Heather Fiona.
The mother-daughter duo have been a tag team ever since Valerie called it quits with her former boyfriend. The two have a fantastic support system — whatever one of them accomplishes, the other one would celebrate.

That’s why the celebrity mom is happy to show off her daughter’s accomplishments during her school’s moving up day last May 4. Fiona, Valerie, and her parents were all-smiles in their Instagram photos.
In the caption, the former “Wowowin‘” host took pride in her unica hija‘s achievement.
“I’ve played a lot of roles as an actress. But my favorite role is being your MOTHER. I could not be any prouder of the young lady you’ve become. Congratulations to my favorite girl in the world! [sic] P.S.: High school ka na! Bakit ang bilis ng panahon????? Huhuhu! [sic]

Looking back at her interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) in 2010, a much stronger Valerie said that she has completely moved on from her baby daddy, Jeremy Carag, who is cousin of the late Miko Sotto. From then on, she has decided to embrace her status as a single mother.
“Bakit pa ako hihingi ng suporta, di ba? Sobra-sobra na ang blessings na ibinigay ni Lord sa akin. ‘Tsaka sa umpisa pa lang, ako at ang pamilya ko ang bumuhay kay Fiona.”
