Check out these five showbiz personalities who underwent “egg freezing” so they can build a family for the future

Many women are now learning about the beneficial effects of “egg freezing” or oocyte cryopreservation. This modern method of securing a future family is a tried and tested process done by many women all over the world. The concept is simple: women have their egg cells  preserved for future use. Although this method is an expensive process, a lot of aspiring mothers still spend lots of money so they can achieve their dream of having babies without worrying about their careers.

Check out these five showbiz personalities who confessed that they had their egg cells frozen before they got married to their respective spouses.

1. Aiai Delas Alas

Last year, the 53-year-old comedienne-actress revealed that she underwent an egg freezing procedure before she tied the knot with husband Gerald Sibayan. In an interview with GMA, she said:

 “Dati pa, noon pa. So walang problema sa eggs.”


The long-term couple got married at the Christ the King Parish in Green Meadows, Quezon City last December 12.

2. Cristalle Belo

Before Dra. Vicky Bello‘s eldest daughter tied the knot with her Australian husband Justin Pitt in 2016, Cristalle had already frozen her eggs.

On her Instagram post last June 15, she revealed her decision by writing the caption:

 “I declared in the [lifestyle_asia] May issue that I wanted to freeze my eggs because I want to have kids but I’m already getting older (where chances are getting slimmer) and I have been battling with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome since I was a teenager. I finally did it in #FortWorthFertility in Texas.”


It was on March 14 when she announced that she was pregnant with her first baby. She is scheduled to give birth this coming July.

3. Divine Lee

Television host and blogger Divine Lee became a talk of the town last year because of her extravagant wedding with businessman Blake Go. Prior to their wedding, Divine had her egg cells frozen at the young age of 24.


In case you missed it, Mommy Divine and Blake finally welcomed their first baby last Saturday, May 5. The showbiz personality gave birth to a healthy baby boy via cesarean section at Chong Hua Hospital in Cebu City.


4. Mich Dulce

It an interview with Preview Magazine, the Filipina fashion designer and actress revealed her decision to freeze her eggs.


She was quoted as to saying:

“It was something that I really looked into. I was always interested in doing it, but the year I turned 35 I was like ‘You know what, I’m getting older I gotta do it na.’ So I started doing research. I was actually being kuripot about it [at first] and wanted to do egg sharing, which is when you get the process for free but you have to donate half of your eggs. I was looking into doing that, but it turned out that I was too old.”


5. Sam Oh

It was in 2016 when the Korean TV host decided to freeze her eggs at a clinic in Makati. According to the source, she was greatly inspired by the prominent Indian supermodel Padma Lakshma.


In an article published by Preview, Sam narrated:

“It was actually a friend’s visit to the clinic (Kato Repro Biotech Center) that prodded me to check it out. My friend is also single and freezing our eggs came up in one of our conversations. When she finally went in for a consultation and told me about it, I decided to go for a consultation myself and ended up getting the process started that day.”
