Audience member tells Sarah Geronimo: “Mag-asawa ka na!”

Far from the Sarah Geronimo we saw last April 29, a happier and livelier Popstar Princess appeared and performed on the stage of Kupferberg Center for the Arts in New York. This serves as the last leg of her 15th year anniversary concert series entitled, “This 15 Me” in North America.

During her spiel, one audience interrupted the singer and shouted, “Mag-asawa ka na!”

Stunned by what the audience had said, Sarah placed a finger on her lips and jokingly said, “‘Wag po kayong ganyan.”

With that, loud cheers and laughter from the crowd immediately filled the auditorium.

Being the good and obedient daughter that she is, the Popstar Princess said that the audience’s suggestion is better directed towards her mother, Mommy DIvine. She humorously said, “Kausapin niyo ang nanay ko.” The crowd cheered louder.

Sarah then tried to get back on track with her spiel. But instead, she end up playfully scolding the audience once more.

Wag pong ganyan, nagtatrabaho po ako no ma’am, wait lang ma’am.”

“I’m working here.”

As if the audience wasn’t bursting out of laughter already, Sarah then once again joked.

Don’t you distract me ma’am. ‘Cause I’m distract-able,” she said.

Sarah has been asked multiple times when she and her long-time boyfriend, Matteo Guidicelli, will wed, but the singer has repeatedly said that marriage is not yet on the table. In an interview with Boy Abunda last year Sarah said, “‘Yung totoo po, gusto kong isipin na handa na ako, pero hindi pa. Gusto ko, pero hindi pa. That’s the truth. I want to be selfish sa partner ko. Kasi para mahanap mo ang Mr. Right mo, dapat maging Ms. Right ka muna.”

Also, Matteo has denied the rumor that the two are planning to tie the knot any time soon.
