She was born in Santa Maria, Bulacan in 1985. According to some sources, Angel was noticed by a talent scout at a shopping center. From a cute girl in the province, she ventured into the metro to pursue her studies. She finished primary school at St. James College in Quezon City, and later studied high school at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila.

The Bulacan native took her steps as she tried to audition for commercial shows. She almost appeared on ABS-CBN’s “Star Circle,” however, her father disagreed with Angel’s decision to sign a contract. GMA Artist Center made her a star years later after she joined the teen-themed series “Click.”
Angel soon reached the peak of her career when she worked with Richard Gutierrez in the fantasy television series “Mulawin” in 2004. Year after year, more and more major offers were stacked onto Angel’s plate. By far the role she is best known for came when she starred in the iconic role of Darna. The television drama fantasy series by the name of the titular character aired in 2005. Her fans would definitely vote in majority that Darna is Angel’s best show in her acting career. But who knows, what the actress can still offer as of today.
