When he welcomed us inside their home for the very first time a decade ago, Zoren Legaspi said that it wasn’t the aesthetic of the house, but rather the energy of their family that keeps it warm. Talking with YES! Magazine, the actor and head of the family said that it was intentional.
“Kaya siguro sabi nila maganda ‘yong feeling – na sinasabi ng mga bisita, eh, ‘Maaliwalas’ – I think siguro ‘yon yung positive vibe na makukuha nila. … Sinasabi ko nga sa kambal [Cassey and Mavy], ‘Ang kinakaganda niyan, ‘yong mga taong nakatira sa loob. No matter how big your house is, kung lagi naman nag-aaway ang pamilya, hindi nag-uusap, walang communication, naglolokohan – it’s not really a home.”
Still, we can’t help but admire the lovely interiors of their home. From the living area to their outside garden, the house is filled with contemporary pieces and décor.
Would you believe that all these were due to the couple’s efforts? Kami previously reported that Carmina and Zoren, despite having the means to hire an interior designer, chose to design their abode themselves.
Surprisingly, the result is nothing short of amazing.
For their twins, the two opted to use only primary colors. Mavy’s room is a mix of blue, yellow, and green, while Cassey’s room screams pink. Take note that this was a decade ago, hence the seemingly childish design. For all we know, the rooms have been redesigned by now.
Our favorite part of the house? The garden, where instead of a pool, you’ll find a lawn perfect for barbecue parties and intimate gatherings.
The Legaspi residence is located in Pasig City and was first featured in YES! Magazine and YES! Celebrity Homes Special in 2008.
