A man in Tarlac was successfully rescued by rescue units after he was trapped in a raging flood Saturday morning.
Based on the video submitted by a certain Lord Aquino to GMA News YouScoop, the man was fighting for his life in a raging flood along Romulo Highway in Malacampa, Capiling, Tarlac. The flood was triggered by the heavy rains brought by Typhoon Ompong.
The man was rescued with the help of concerned citizens, and personnel from the local government unit and the Philippine National Police who united to save him.
The man experienced miracle as the rescue units later learned that he does not know how to swim.
The response team also had a hard time saving him as their rubber boats already sank with the flood.

Netizens were thankful to the rescuing units for saving this man’s life.
“Ang pagtutulungan wala sa estado ng buhay. Nasa malasakit ng kapwa tao. GodBless, more blessing sa mga tumulong kasama jan ung pinsan ko kumuha ng tali,” Allan Guiang said.
“Ito ang katibayan ng power ng pagtutulongan and power of God with them at matagumpay nailigtas c kuya.God is powerful above all,” Tiueco Weng said.

Meanwhile, some netizens had an argument about the fast approach of rescuing units in situations like this.
“Dapat sa pilipinas may hilecopter dyan mag rerescue, air rescue dapat saglit lng yan,” Lem Pangz said.
Gloria Danario agreed and said: Kung maaari sana bawat 1 lgu me 1 helicopter man lang, don sa mga can afford na lgu, maglaan ng budget para makabili ng 1 helicopter para sa ganitong kalamidad. Suggestion lang po.
“Thank god naligtas po siya… tama yung isang magcomment na dspat helicopter ang kailangan para marescue yung guy… sa mga ganitong kalamidad naiinis ako sa mga politikong mga gahaman,” Aunela Chua said.
